The Colorado Railroad Museum is always a fun place to celebrate any holiday in Denver. If your family is full of train lovers, then you’ll want to hop over for the Bunny Express. The whole family can ride the Bunny Express Train, which features an actual 1880s vintage passenger coach. It’s like stepping back in time as you see just how travel was done more than 100 years ago. Of course the Easter Bunny himself will be there, along with Spike the Railyard Hound with lots of yummy spring treats to enjoy. It was recently announced that Heritage Square will close its doors at the end of the 2015 season, so this is your last chance to attend the Annual Easter Festival at this Colorado landmark. Check out a solar powered bubble tower and then get lost in Colorado’s largest bi-level maze as you search for the Golden Egg. If you are looking for the most beautiful place in Colorado for an early morning Sunrise Service, you can’t go wrong with the annual Sunrise Services at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre. It’s the most amazing way to enjoy the holiday as you watch the sun rise over the stunning rock formations at this one of a kind location. Make sure to arrive early, as the gates will open at 4:30 a.m. You’ll need some time to park and head up the ramps to the amphitheatre. Since this service is outdoors, the dress is casual, so wear layers and dress warmly. The preacher for the services is Rev. Dr. Thomas Wolfe, the President and CEO of the Iliff School of Theology. While the services are free, you are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the Food Bank of the Rockies.
